Job Location: This position will be located at 1000 E. 24th Street Kansas City, MO 64108.
This is senior-level office support work requiring independent work decisions for complex clerical functions or processes, involving familiarity of specialized terminology and/or software.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two or more years of experience as an Office Support Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Three or more years of experience in office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. (Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year).

- JOB DUTIES
- Maintaining spreadsheets of active and completed restoration cases by entering and updating relevant data
- Maintaining electronic case folders, acquiring case-related information (e.g., criminal charges, orders)
- Acquiring documents (e.g., police reports)
- Submitting letters, reports, and associated documents to the courts
- Proofreading documents
- Entering information into DMH databases
- Providing departmental summaries to the DMH (e.g., number of cases)
- Scheduling interviews for evaluations, maintaining a calendar of scheduled interviews, provide relevant information to other personnel/agencies regarding such evaluations
- Purchasing items/services for examiners (e.g., hotel rooms)
- Ordering office supplies, completing work orders (e.g., building maintenance), and sorting departmental mail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of office practices and procedures. Comprehensive knowledge of grammar, composition, spelling, and math.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer information systems and software (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word). Introductory knowledge of the principles of office management and supervision. Ability to type accurately. Ability to apply and interpret agency policies and procedures. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Ability to prepare and maintain complex records and reports. Ability to develop and use coding and filing systems.
- Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public. Ability to make complex computations. Ability to assign, review, and evaluate the work of staff.
- Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes. Ability to train and mentor staff. Ability to develop and implement procedures from general instructions.
