Duties Performed To Support The Department’s Vision
- As a key member of the Mail Service Center, you will rotate through a variety of responsibilities that help keep the department running smoothly.
- Sort and prepare incoming mail for distribution
- Follow detailed instructions to extract and prep mail
- Deliver mail throughout the department multiple times daily
- Assist in the processing of outgoing postcards on an inkjet system
- Assist in the processing of outgoing mail on inserting equipment
- Maintain an introductory knowledge of USPS categories and postage rates
- Support additional tasks as needed to meet daily demands
- Adaptable - Comfortable shifting between tasks and priorities
- Detail-Oriented - Focused on accuracy and following procedures
- Self-Directed - Takes initiative and works independently
- Efficient - Keeps things moving in a fast-paced environment
- Communicative - Shares information clearly and effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of US Postal Service rates and classifications
- Ability to lift/transport
- Mail trays up to 15 lbs
- Mail tubs up to 35 lbs
- Carts of mail with assistance (approx 700 lbs)
