Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is a 300 bed hospital, located in Farmington, Missouri. Website: https://dmh.mo.gov/smmhc/ The Adult Psychiatric Services (APS) unit at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is looking for energetic, caring, and enthusiastic individuals to join the team providing specialized services to intellectually disabled forensic clients as Food Service Assistants. This is an entry level dietary position.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

This is a first-level food service position accountable for preparing simple menu items under direct supervision. An employee at this level will follow specific dietary needs, standard kitchen procedures, and sanitation guidelines when handling, preparing, and serving food. Additional duties include washing dishes and kitchen tools, and stocking food in serving lines.

Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of methods and equipment used in preparing food on a large scale. Ability to work continuous hours while standing, in an environment with high temperatures.

  Typical qualifications

  0-1 year of work experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
