Minnesota State Operated Community Services (MSOCS) is seeking a dedicated human services professional to supervise and lead direct care staff employed in a MSOCS residential home for individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health diagnosis and/or brain injury. The Community Residential Supervisor will develop, implement, and evaluate residential services programs. This position will supervise 1 or more homes in the Mounds View, MN area.

- Supervise staff so that employees effectively perform assigned job duties and achieve the objectives of the program/unit/section/division.
- Administer the fiscal resources of a MSOCS home and individuals to ensure that expenditures are made in a prudent manner and are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop, implement and evaluate a MSOCS residential services program so that individuals’ needs are met and individuals are effectively integrated into the community.
- Provide direct care services to MSOCS residential individuals to ensure that the residential program is in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Implement administrative duties so that individuals receive the necessary services in a safe, healthy and attractive residential environment.
- Develop positive relationships with the local community.
Demonstrated leadership experience. Leadership experience can include:
- Experience as a Supervisor, lead worker, team lead or project lead
- Completion of a State of Minnesota Leadership Program (e.g. L4, Emerging Leaders Institute)
- 1 year serving as an Employee Resource Group (ERG) Chair or Co-Chair at Department of Human Services
Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in a therapeutic, residential, or corrective environment providing counseling and rehabilitative care which must include the following:

Must meet the qualifications to be a Designated Coordinator per MN Statute 245D.081, subdivisions 2 and 3:

- Provide leadership by motivating, communicating, and engaging a diverse work group
- Work rotating or irregular hours as needed, or directed, to complete on-site supervisory responsibilities
- Provide direct care as needed
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze and evaluate complex situations, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance to direct reports and individuals receiving services
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Communication skills sufficient to explain sensitive, controversial and confidential information to direct reports, individuals receiving services, labor and other partners in a clear and concise manner, while adhering to data privacy laws and requirements
- Interpret financial statements, taking corrective actions, educating, and managing budget to ensure profitability
