Job Summary

This is a part time student worker position through June 2027.

This position will support buildings and grounds services at the Central Services Building to insure the property is kept in a clean and well-maintained condition and to assist in other duties so the increased seasonal workload is accomplished. It will also provide office support with filing, data entry and other administrative tasks as assigned.

MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Enrolled in post-secondary school as a Junior or Senior and meet the student worker guidelines.

• Experience with hand and power tools sufficient to produce quality services on requested on projects (landscaping projects, mowing, etc.)

• Ability to perform hard laborious work requiring repetitive and often heavy lifting, bending, and twisting.

• Computer system use (word processing, data entry) sufficient to update documents, update filing systems, database systems.

• Ability to understand verbal direction and carry out assignments safely efficiently.

• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MnDOT facility maintenance work: mowing, landscaping, fixing small equipment.
