This position functions as the Office of Race Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) Leadership Development Specialist and subject matter expert for department-wide leadership training programs. These training programs focus on ongoing leadership development and succession planning. This position is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of leadership training programs for emerging leaders, new supervisors, and second-line supervisors to executive leadership. This position conducts ongoing program evaluation and makes recommendations for improvement.
As the Performance Consultant, this position provides comprehensive performance consultation services to internal clients. Using a comprehensive strengths-based leadership model, this position conducts business analysis, detailed performance analysis and root-cause analysis to identify gaps in performance. Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is Detroit/Lansing. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:
o A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
o A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
o Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
