What are the responsibilities and job description for the Departmental Specialist 13 - Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) – Home and Community Based Services position at State of Michigan?
This position functions as the recognized expert and the sole specialist for the design and implementation of the Federal 21st Century Cures Act Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements for the home and community based long term care supports and service programs administered by the ACLS Bureau that are subject to EVV requirements. This position is necessary to coordinate the development, implementation, and ongoing support of EVV within ACLS and in coordination within other work areas in MDHHS. The specialist serves as the technical advisor to ACLS programs areas, bureau staff, and HCBS providers on issues related to the implementation and ongoing operations of EVV. This position is necessary to coordinate the development and implementation partnerships to support and assure the ongoing use of EVV best practices in accordance with state and federal EVV requirements. This position is responsible for the design and development of policy and training recommendations and tools for the implementation of the EVV system across the ACLS programs subject to EVV requirements.

Position Location/Remote Office: This position will work remotely. Occasional travel to the office located at 400 S. Pine St, Lansing may be required. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:- A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
- A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
- Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
