This position serves as an analyst responsible for supporting the operations of a multifaceted statewide mailing bureau. The role centers on evaluating program data, interpreting operational trends, and coordinating workflows to ensure effective service delivery to partner agencies. It emphasizes analytical oversight of processes involving mailing systems, operational software, and vendor-supported equipment.   • The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week once the training period has been completed.

Required Education And Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Alternate Education And Experience

Departmental Analyst 9 - 12

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
