What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant 8 (Pontiac Lake Recreation Area) position at State of Michigan?
To provide accounting and office functions for Pontiac Lake Recreation Area and Dodge #4 State Park. Responsible for all duties relating to small project accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial and budget reports/reconciliation, Human Resources duties, public relations and general office operations. In addition, the position assists with staff training, and support to the Unit Supervisor for day-to-day operations.
*The position will require travel to Dodge #4 State Park at least two days a week to help support their staff and operations.
Position Description Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Three years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to an Accounting Assistant E7, involving posting financial data to ledgers, preparing invoices, billings and/or vouchers, reviewing and coding financial information, and maintaining account balances.Certain positions may require a criminal history background check.
