Main Purpose of Job
This position assists in the comprehensive case management and supportive services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS to ensure continuity of care, improve health outcomes, and reduce barriers to treatment and prevention services. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support activities that protect and promote the health and well-being of Kent County residents through HIV prevention, education, testing, linkage to care, and support services, consistent with the Kent County Health Department's mission. Duties include conducting supporting STI testing at the Whitsitt Center, assisting clients with access to medical and supportive resources, and providing client intake and check-in support when the clinic's administrative assistant is unavailable. This position requires regular communication and interaction with clients in clinic and community settings while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and compassionate client-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience : One year of administrative staff or professional work in a health care setting.

- Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
