- Manages personnel within the Instant Ticket Warehouse, including assigning, evaluating, and assessing staff to ensure manpower is used appropriately and that practices and procedures meet MLGCA standards; completes employee evaluations, maintains personnel files and forms, and ensures mandatory staff training is completed.
- Directly supervises staff through individual meetings and oral and written communications; coaches’ supervisory skills and techniques to encourage professional growth; maintains daily contact with UPS corporate, Tel-Sell, and retailers to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
- Measures and reports on the effectiveness of Instant Ticket department activities; develops and maintains departmental work instructions; establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet department demands; interprets State policies and enforces safety regulations; recommends measures to improve quality of service and efficiency; confers with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
- Oversees receipt of items from vendors and suppliers, storage, and distribution to state retailers; maintains records related to receipt, issuance, and control of warehouse items; prepares and distributes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory reports for reconciliation of instant ticket inventory; oversees processing of returned tickets for re-entry into the GMS system or destruction; ensures safe operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including battery forklifts; assists the Facilities Manager with agency assets, supplies inventory, training, and facility maintenance.
- Coordinates the start and end of instant games with the Product Development Manager and instant ticket printer; prepares and initiates game launches by entering game parameters, reorder data, and quotas; supervises the operation and book movement of the instant gaming process; participates on the Agency’s instant ticket task force; oversees daily maintenance activities and environmental controls to ensure a clean and safe warehouse; ensures safety procedures are followed by all staff and vendors.
- Secures all items and materials stored in the Instant Ticket Warehouse; checks and certifies receipts against manifest documents; completes quality inspections; monitors inventory levels and initiates requests for shipping supplies to prevent depletion of mission-critical items.
- Oversees the Scitrak application, ensuring nodes are functioning properly before daily operations begin; evaluates and escalates persistent system issues to the Network Systems Administrator; monitors the Scitrak system to ensure all drops are functioning properly.
- Ensures “over flow” and “no need” bins remain at proper limits and that the conveyor system and electronic contact points are clean and in working order; monitors the Scitrak App for bin drop activity and manually closes bins in the event of system failure.
- Confirms all orders are processed correctly in the Scitrak App and that all label printers are functioning properly, coordinating with UPS Tech or the UPS Local Enterprise Account Manager as needed; tracks orders flagged “no history” to ensure proper shipment assignment; adjusts and shuts down games nearing last activation to prevent further distribution; coordinates with the Tel-Sell manager, associates, and Security regarding packs not received, stolen, or missing from shipments; reviews the daily shipping exception report, initiates UPS investigations for missing packages, and submits claim payment requests as needed; coordinates courier service issues, including with Falcon and other utilized couriers; maintains accountability for approximately $1 billion in Instant Ticket pack inventory.
- Supervises the Warehouse Supervisor and warehouse staff, including assigning and reviewing work, approving leave, signing time cards and annual performance evaluations, interviewing and selecting new employees, training staff, and administering discipline as needed.
