Main Purpose of Job

This is the entry level of work at a local health department performing inspections and investigations to secure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations.� Employees in this classification receive close supervision and do not supervise other employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:�� Determined by the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists under the licensing requirements for Environmental Health Specialists. Experience: None.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. At the time of hire, candidates for positions in this classification must possess a certificate of eligibility to be licensed as an�Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists. 2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

Salary : $62,220 - $96,790
