Minimum Qualifications
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
This position crosses agency areas and performs communication functions for the Commercial, Elections, Notary, Archives, and Museums Programs. The incumbent of this position is responsible for planning, development, preparation, and dissemination of various information materials, news releases, and projects for the Department of State regarding all ongoing programs.- Manage social media platform initiatives.
- Manage the agency website content.
- Act as a media contact and respond to media inquiries.
- Provide guidance/assistance to staff on dissemination of information for specific projects.
- Design informational materials such as advertisements, press kits, brochures and fliers.
- Promote voter education through the Voter Outreach program.
- Meet with the media, Legislature, public and private agencies regarding agency initiatives and educational programs.
- Writes and prepares commendations, proclamations, and honorary certificates.
