Job Duties:
· Provide supervisory oversight and guidance to Public Health Nutritionists, Health Educators, Nutrition Educators, and contract staff.
· Oversee clinical nutrition services for high-risk WIC participants, including certification and recertification.
· Conduct nutritional assessments to determine participants’ nutritional risk and individual needs.
· Counsel WIC participants on nutrition and prescribe appropriate food packages in accordance with program guidelines.
· Serve as the Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist for the WIC program, providing specialized nutrition services to high-risk participants.
· Interpret and implement state and federal WIC policies and procedures to ensure program compliance and effective service delivery.
· Manage staff performance and professional development while providing consultation on WIC policies, procedures, and nutrition services.
