This position is needed to cover active treatment within an Intensive Care Facility. It will support the provision of special education services to meet the legally mandated educational needs of children, adolescents, and young adults, who have been identified with disabilities that impede educational and/or behavioral performance.

R.S. 17:3884(D) requires that any school board wishing to hire a person who has been assessed or evaluated pursuant to the Children First Act, La. Physical Activity Level:
 The employee must be able to perform assigned duties without significant risk of substantial harm to his/her own safety/security and the safety/security of others. To plan, organize, and provide rigorous, engaging instructional experiences for students by employing a total approach involving teaching of academics, communication, vocational, motor, self-help and social subject matter to improve and assist each student in taking his/her place in society; to track student progress, reflect, and make adjustments to ensure student academic growth; the job goals are in alignment with the COMPASS teaching rubric components.
