Job Duties: 

• Serve as the department’s expert on the EPA Air Quality System (AQS), preparing and submitting ambient air monitoring data, verifying sites, and ensuring compliance with federal reporting requirements

• Advise state leadership on environmental policy, data validation, and technical expertise related to the ambient air monitoring network

• Manage air analysis reporting controls, including ozone forecasting programs, AQI/OAP software, and participation in EPA’s AirNow forecasting and mapping efforts

• Collaborate in regional workgroups to address ozone formation and chemical reaction processes, and liaise with EPA Region 6 on ambient air data analysis and site negotiations

• Enhance data reporting by applying statistical principles and computer applications to produce charts, graphs, and reports that illustrate environmental conditions and regulatory impacts

Compensation: This position offers a Special Entrance Rate (SER) listed below. This is the minimum compensation that may be offered. The job tittle and salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
