By joining our Equipment Section Unit as an Automotive Parts Specialist in Hopkins County, you’ll have the opportunity to perform stockroom duties associated with inventory, procurement and payment for parts and supplies for automotive or equipment repair facility.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Purchase, receives, stores and distributes parts, supplies, materials, and tools for various types of equipment in the District
- Enters material and equipment usage in Operations Management System (OMS)
- Physically perform annual inventory.
- Maintain supplies, parts and materials records
- Provide security for the stock room area
- Follow procurement procedures.
- Submits procurement receipts timely
- Inventory process, procedures associated with procurement purchases
- Automotive, truck parts and supply store experience
- Working with a team
- Computer experience

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of automotive/truck parts and supply store experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Vocational or technical school training in automotive/truck repair or a related area will substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this title typical perform duties in a stockroom.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
