Position Summary:
This purpose of this position is to assist the Procurement Officer in reviewing requisitions and vouchers for correctness; ensure accuracy of pricing in Global KCI’s ERP system and overseeing vouchers have all documentation and signatures before giving to Procurement Officer to approve for payment. This position will also assist the Accounting Department with annual physical inventories of all KCI Departments.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Enters agency requisitions in the computer using KCI's manufacturing software. Reviews requisitions, purchase orders, receiving reports and vouchers.
- Filing, data entry, maintaining excel spreadsheets for preventive maintenance, vehicles, HVAC, and purchase order log etc.
- Assist with purchasing goods and services within established limits as determined by the Division of Purchases. Contact suppliers for price quotes, availability and product information.
- Verifies that supplier information on purchase orders matches SMART. Enter expense reports and new suppliers in SMART. Prepare batches of vouchers verified for payment.
- Assist Accounting Department with direct coordination of annual inventory audits.
- Under the direction of the Procurement Officer, and when he/she is absent, procures a variety of merchandise for KCI divisions statewide. This includes purchasing goods and services from statewide open-end contracts and items that are not on contract, covering incoming telephone calls, request for quotes, placing orders, etc.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Graduate
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements:
Must pass a physical exam, background investigation, submit a State of Kansas Tax Clearance and take and pass a drug screening test approved by the Division of Personnel Services.
