Position Details
- Location: 550 S Gear Ave., West Burlington, IA
- Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Work Flexibility: Hybrid telework and alternate schedules available after six months of employment
What You’ll Do
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play an important support role in helping job candidates successfully navigate their employment journey.
Support Job Candidates
- Welcome and orient new applicants to IVRS services
- Assist individuals in completing applications and referral materials
- Schedule intake interviews and maintain ongoing communication
- Facilitate job readiness activities such as:
- Job Seeking Skills Training
- Job Club sessions
- Mock interviews and small-group workshops
- Help individuals build workplace readiness skills and confidence
- Maintain regular contact with job candidates pursuing employment
- Assist with job development and employer outreach activities
- Support job coaching and accompany candidates to interviews when needed
- Observe workplace progress and share updates with counselors
- Help identify solutions that support successful employment outcomes
- Maintain confidential case records and enter data into the case management system
- Process releases, correspondence, and service documentation
- Assist with scheduling, phones, reception coverage, and customer inquiries
- Ensure work is completed accurately, professionally, and on time
- Support team operations and special projects as needed

- Two years of full-time work experience in a human services field which involved: customer service, contact with the public to either compile or provide information regarding services, the organization/management of confidential information, or the scheduling of appointments.
- Two years of full-time work experience as a legal assistant/paralegal, medical office assistant, or job coach.
- A combination of a total of two years of education and full-time experience (as described in either number one or two), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work equals one year of full-time experience.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes eighteen months of full-time work in direct client/customer service in a clerical or administrative support capacity.
