Plan, implement and evaluate health care:
Document Nursing Functions Completed Utilizing DOC Policy/procedures:
Must be able to deliver written and verbal information to Incarcerated Individuals and off-site
medical personnel.
Ensure That Training Is Provided:
Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

- Document nursing assessments, interventions, planning and evaluations.
- Must be able to document in order to accurately describe events or findings.
- Must be able to speak, write and follow instructions in the English language.
- Must be aware of and comply with all policies/procedures.
- Must complete computer documentation.
- Assess patients to identify appropriate psychiatric nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate client care.
- Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in client's condition.
