Independently performs the full range of wildlife research development and management activities; directs the work of lower-level professional and non-professional wildlife workers; and performs other related duties as assigned. To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in wildlife management or in a related biological science with a minimum of twenty-four (24) semester credit hours in the following areas:

A. At least eighteen (18) semester credit hours of course work applicable to wildlife biology in such subjects as mammalogy, ornithology, animal ecology, wildlife management, animal husbandry, zoology, invertebrate zoology, vertebrate zoology, comparative anatomy, physiology (animal), genetics, animal taxonomy, parasitology, entomology, herpetology, biometry; or research courses in the field of wildlife biology; and
B. At least six (6) semester credit hours in botany or the related plant sciences.

Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in wildlife conservation, development and management, and/or wildlife research.

Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.  

Lifting and Carrying: This position requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted.
