This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants which may be used to fill an immediate vacancy located in the Mapunapuna Baseyard and fill future vacancies as they occur for the State of Hawaii, Oahu District Office, Highways Division, Department of Transportation (DOT).

Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Experience and Training: ONE YEAR of manual unskilled and semi-skilled work experience in general construction and/or maintenance; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Driver's License Requirement: All positions require the possession of a valid driver's license, at the time of appointment.

Physical Ability:  Some positions may require lifting and carrying objects of varying weights without assistance or with the assistance of another person and/or the use of equipment (e.g., gas powered trimmer, power chainsaw, boulders, hand truck, etc.) for heavier loads, with or without reasonable accommodation.

TESTING INFORMATION
The examination for this recruitment will be conducted on an unassembled basis where the examination score is based on an evaluation and rating of your education and experience.
