Rockdale Judicial Circuit – Assistant Public Defender III
The Rockdale Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender III. The primary responsibilities include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s). Applicants must have the required skills to perform the responsibilities for the position. Candidates must demonstrate prior experience as a lead attorney in at least two (2) major felony jury trials. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender III will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients. This position performs as a lead attorney, assigned to serious, high profile, and significant felony cases. Performs other related duties as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSISTANT PUBLIC DEFENDER III
Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and license to practice law in the State of Georgia or eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination followed by Georgia Bar exam passage and licensure to practice law in the State of Georgia within one (1) year of hiring or reciprocity and two (2) years of relevant legal -experience; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2 (LEP021).
