Job Summary:
The RSAT Director will be an Administrator that oversees RSAT counseling staff and programs. Responsibilities includes Conducting RSAT orientation and ensure that each resident has a signed Authorization for Release of Protected Health Information so RSAT staff can communicate with parents/legal guardians. In addition, responsibilities also include participating in Treatment Team, YCRT meetings, participating in PBIS meetings and events, and prepares and participates in annual Seven Challenges Fidelity visits and quarterly support calls.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Administratively and clinically manages RSAT counseling staff and program
Serves as a Seven Challenges Onsite Leader to ensure program fidelity and trains new staff in the model to sustain the program
Participates in the facility’s management team meetings as deemed necessary by the Facility Director
Completes GAIN Assessments on new residents within 10 days of admission into program
Provides family counseling once per month with each resident and documents service
Provides group and individual counseling as needed when the RSAT Counselor position is vacant or unavailable
Completes all required documentation per DJJ OBHS SUTS Policies 12.20, 12.25 and DJJ Policy 5.8
Attend required Seven Challenges trainings and a once per year Support and Fidelity Visit
Completes drug screening of residents at a frequency of 9 per month and complete drug screenings of new residents within 7 days of entering program
Completes monthly RSAT Report of residents entering and leaving the RSAT program. This report should be submitted to Substance Use Treatment Administrator for review by the 5th of the following month
Oversees and plans graduation ceremony for RSAT program
Completes chart reviews once per week to ensure compliance of files
Completes Aftercare follow-up on all residents who has successfully completed the program. The follow-up shall be done monthly for a period of 6 months with the first two follow-up contacts being completed in the first 2 months after release from a YDC
Updates and sends out weekly roster of housing unit to Mental Health, JDC, Assistant Director, intake officer, and IPD
Monitors RSAT Treatment Plans and Treatment Plan Reviews
Participates in Behavioral Health Treatment Team meetings
Sends out weekly review list for Treatment Team meeting to RSAT Counselors, Mental Health, JPPS, and Dorm Counselors at the end of the week for the following week
Orders office and/or RSAT supplies as needed
Mails completed journals and certificates to resident’s home or JPPS as youth leave the program or destroys journals at the youth’s request
Completes certificates after a completion of each journal by a resident
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a counseling related field from an accredited college or university OR a professional certification in addiction counseling AND One to Five years of managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a clinical counseling related field from an accredited college or university OR a professional certification in addiction counseling And Three to Five years of management experience in a behavioral health field.
Georgia licensure or eligible for licensure in a mental health field.
Seven Challenges certified Counselor and/or Leader in a juvenile correction facility or adolescent residential treatment setting.
