Job Summary

The main responsibility of the Part Time Performing Arts Assistant is to conduct sessions with youth to produce performing arts projects. This role will provide administrative and creative assistance to facility staff and youth. This role will at times work with youth one-on-one or in small groups.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Creative and Technical Support:

• Foster creativity by helping produce and support live performances and musical sessions

• Assist with the preparation and organization performances

• Maintain and organize the rehearsal spaces

• Operate sound, lighting, or recording equipment (as applicable)

Administrative Support:

• 
  Plan/Coordinate rehearsal, recording, and performance schedules

• Prepare and send rehearsal reminders, performance updates

• Track project progress and communicate with facility leadership

• Oversee inventory and order supplies

• Submit Purchase Orders, invoices, expense reports, and payment tracking

• Organize digital files, documents, and backups in cloud-based systems

• Handle correspondence (emails, phone calls, social media messages) on behalf of the music director or team

• Performs other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Previous experience working with youth on performing arts projects, working in a clerical capacity and fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree

• A minimum of two years’ experience in similar role
