Employment Terms: This job is a full time, benefited, exempt position in the Student Affairs Division that reports to the Director of Student Recruitment. This position’s primary location will be the Lawrenceville Campus.

Salary: Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $54,080 per year.

Schedule: Typical schedule for this position is 40 hours per week; Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-4:00. Requires a flexible schedule as an occasional evening, Friday or Saturday might be required, dependent on business needs and demand.


Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 11130):
Associate's Degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education*and* Three (3) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Candidate must also have the ability to stand for long periods of time in addition to lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs. Experience working with or presenting to various audiences. At least one year of student recruitment experience or related marketing experience; Work experience in post-secondary education using a student information system such as BANNER, TargetX, Cadence Mongoose. Experience in preparing and conducting presentations before small and large audiences

Job Description Summary:

Under general direction of the Director of Student Recruitment, the Coordinator of Student Communications in the area of Student Recruitment plays a significant role in the design and implementation of ongoing initiatives related to Gwinnett Tech Branding for the purpose of recruiting students.

The Coordinator of Student Communications in the Office of Student Recruitment will have the primary responsibility to design, manage, and process the outgoing communications in the Office of Student Recruitment. This individual will use a variety of tools for print, email and text messaging within the Office of Student Recruitment for engagement with prospective students, parents/guardians, high school counselors in the public, private and home-schooled K-12 systems. This person will work with leadership to assess communication effectiveness. This person plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment, with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Responsible for reviewing and providing updates to the areas of the website that are used by prospective students, high school counselors and other external partners.

2. Responsible for creating and maintaining the multitude of informational flyers that are provided to prospective students and secondary-partners.

3. Responsible for weekly outreach via the Cadence Mongoose texting platform for the following demographics: Dual Enrollment, Beginning, Returning, Transfer, Transient.

4. Responsible for reviewing and updating the Salesforce Target X automated email notifications for the following demographics: Dual Enrollment, Beginning, Returning, Transfer, Transient.

5. Responsible for creating and updating PowerPoint presentations to ensure department and college alignment

6. Support the Office of Student Recruitment & Dual Enrollment as needed with incoming phone calls, returning voicemails, assist with walk-in visits to the Office, assist with emails, assist with on-campus tours, Assist with off-campus events
