PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Explain exam procedures and answer questions.
- Ensure properly functioning equipment.
- High-quality digital mammography and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams.
- Evaluate the quality of images.
- Provide the physician with pertinent patient history.
- Document mammography procedures completed and process related paperwork.
- Maintain examination room, stock supplies and materials.
- Compile information and prepare reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program
EXPERIENCE:
- One or more years of experience as a Mammographer, including 3D mammography.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography
- Certification in Mammography
- DEXA Certification
- Vaid state license as a Radiographer
- CPR/BLS Certification
