POSITION SUMMARY:

This position works independently to accomplish objectives established in the Agency Strategic Plan and the missions of the Missing Persons and Offender Enforcement (MPOE) Bureau in the Enforcement and Investigative Support (EIS) Division and consults with other government agencies to evaluate their information needs and capabilities.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Developing and providing training modalities and events for criminal justice agencies on systems use and functions on a regular basis and MPOE projects as needed;
  • Conducting periodic review of course curricula, instructional strategies, materials and training aids to assure currency and relevance to criminal justice agencies regarding the sexual offender database and MPOE systems and operations;
  • Developing and conducting management studies to assist the division and other law enforcement officials in streamlining functions to promote efficient and effective accomplishment of mission objectives;
  • Providing research, analysis, and assimilation of information relative to trends, laws, rules, and regulations that directly or indirectly have an impact on MPOE operations or mission;
  • Providing input to assist in maintaining sound management policies in work task accomplishments;
  • Conducting lectures and presenting information to criminal justice agencies and others regarding data collection, services, and developmental programs;
  • Participating in conferences, workshops, inter-agency committees and activities relevant to missing persons, registrant, and unidentified deceased information;
  • Researching and analyzing legislative bills for policy and fiscal impact as it relates to the department and assisting in the preparations of legislative implementation plans for any and all bills which impact missing persons or offender registration and enforcement or any MPOE operation; and
  • Researching, recommending, and developing communication and training plans, tools, and techniques to best serve the needs and increase accessibility of information for MPOE customers.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices;
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow, and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices;
  • Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials;
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research;
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques;
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments;
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

BASE SALARY:

  • $45,060.34

 

NOTES:

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
