Job Description / Duties & Responsibilities
The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position for an Executive Assistant that is responsible for executing the following functions :
- Act as the primary support staff for the Executive Director of the K-12 School Choice Office. Responsible for administrative support including scheduling all travel for the Director and Deputy Director including reservations and payments. Manage calendar for Executive Director. Ensures that the Executive Director receives all calls and messages in a timely manner. Other administrative duties as requested.
- Assist with formatting content for submission as School Choice website updates and coordinate with the Web Development Team to ensure content meets Department publishing standards.
- Serve as the Office's contact for preparing Paperless Communications and for ensuring published documents are ADA compliant.
- Assist with the monitoring and processing of CorrFlow assignments, ensuring responses are of high quality and submitted by established timelines.
- Coordinate scholarship site visits and work closely with related staff as needed for planning and preparation of visits.
- Develop and maintain pertinent information related to controlled open enrollment and the Opportunity Scholarship Program, including contact information for district school choice offices.
- Support the grant manager in the administration of the K-12 grant agreement with Tallahassee State College, including associated projects including advertising positions, hiring personnel, and making purchase requisitions.
- Assist the budget officer with activities related to property control and physical facilities, including technology requirements for new hires and employee moves.
- Perform related work as assigned.
