Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Pay: $15.00 Hourly

Position Summary: This is an OPS Staff Assisitant position within the Office of the Attorney General, Lemon Law.

Qualifications

  • Three years of secretarial or clerical work experience; or
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and 1 year of secretarial/administrative experience.
  • College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience; or
  • Vocational/technical training in an area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.

The Work You Will Do: This position’s duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Sorting, classifying, and filing paper documents
  • Archiving closed cases (e.g., invoices, forms, reports) into cabinets, file room or scanning them into digital systems.
  • Entering data and maintaining electronic databases or document management systems.
  • Preparing letters, memos.
  • Operating office equipment (printers, scanners, fax machines).
  • Answering phone line.
  • May be asked to cross train for other positions to serve as back-up.
