High school diploma or equivalent is required

Additional requirement:

• Three (3) years of secretarial or office clerical work experience to include the use of Microsoft Office software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

SPECIAL NOTES:

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

This position will be filled at $20.00 per hour at 29 hours per week. 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Assists the Director’s Office Staff by providing administrative and logistical administrative support.
• Prioritizes and prepares general correspondence, memorandums and reports, varying from simple letters to those dealing with legal and technical matters.
• Coordinates with Bureau’s to ensure monthly and annual reports of section functions and activities are completed and appropriately distributed when due.
• Maintain databases, spreadsheets and records.
• Initiate, Format and/or proofread internal and external correspondence for dissemination.
• Maintains appointment calendars, multi-line telephone experience, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
