This position reports directly to the Operations & Management Consultant II (General Services Manager) in the Bureau of Human Resources office of General Services, Operational Support unit.

The incumbent in this position performs work that requires independent judgment and decision-making skills.

The incumbent must be able to lift 50 pounds and maintain a valid U.S driver’s license.

Specific Duties Of This Position Are As Follows

Manages the Agency Conference Center, including scheduling, setup, and breakdown of tables, chairs as well as support the audio/video needs, coordinates with Information Technology as needed.

Coordinates all Agency Headquarters moves in a timely and efficient manner assists the Facility Services Manager with area office moves as needed, along with the pickup of surplus property at Headquarters only.

Serves as primary back for assisting in creating Photo Identification Badges for new hires, transfers, separations and replacement. Ensuring the correct level of access has been assigned to each badge.

Serves as backup to mailroom operations including arranging pickup and delivery schedules; maintaining adequate supplies of postage; maintaining mail processing equipment; and directing mailroom staff.

Develops and maintain policies and procedures for mail processing which ensure all Agency incoming and outgoing mail is processed in the most cost effective and timely manner possible.

Performs management and administrative responsibilities related to supervising all mail room staff and courier service functions.

Responsible for managing courier contracts; evaluates courier contracts and recommends to the Agency the most effective/efficient courier/mail service; prepares specific bids and receives quotes for Agency courier services; keeps apprised of the most current state contract regarding courier services; and works with couriers for efficient/effective operations.

Directs/manages mailroom operations involving arranging schedules for pick-ups/deliveries; maintains adequate supply of postage; works with state mail processing vendor which process Agency presort mail to secure postage discounts; signs for incoming express items and ensures timely distribution; maintains monthly supply and mass mail out costs for data provided to Financial Services.

Performs Special Projects And/or Other Related Duties As Required.

This position will be filled at $17.32 hourly and is non-negotiable.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Utilization of equipment, required for the position.

Knowledge of State and Federal mail regulations.

Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds with or without accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements

Must have least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office experience, to include, Word and Excel.

Must have a current valid drivers license.

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs with or without accommodations.

Must be able to work from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
