This is the entry level of case processing work learning the legal processes and procedures and performing the full range of processing activities of limited complexity.

Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, employees can complete job duties of a similar kind not specifically listed here.�� •\tPrepares and issues a wide variety of court/legal documents and determines the appropriate procedural requirements for processing. •\tDelivers excellent customer service in person, by phone, or electronically; greets customers and provides information on procedures, services, events, or case status to internal and external stakeholders, judicial officers, court users, justice partners, and members of the public. attorneys, jurors, litigants, court personnel, and the public.� •\tApplies laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures relevant to case processing activities. •\tReviews, processes, and evaluates case records and documents for completeness, accuracy, eligibility, and compliance with applicable procedures, practices, standards, timelines, and costs. •\tResearches case files, records, databases, and other sources to resolve discrepancies, errors, or other issues. •\tPrepares and maintains files and records, ensuring all required documents are included. •\tUses automated information systems and computer software to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve, and report on data.� •\tAttends hearings and proceedings to provide files, records, and case information to the judicial officer; records event dispositions and administers oaths. •\tMay prepare and distribute correspondence, maintain calendars and schedule meetings, hearings, or events; and may compute and collect fees, maintain fiscal records/receipts, or make deposits. •\tPerforms other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Judicial Case Processor I� Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: 1.\tCoursework, training, education, and/or work experience in document processing such as reviewing and \tevaluating records for completeness and conformity with laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and \tprocedures, resolving deficiencies, and tracking and monitoring activities. \t 2.\tCoursework, training, education, and/or work experience in record keeping such as maintaining, filing, \ttracking, and retrieving physical, electronic, and digital documents, reports, or other information.� 3.\tCoursework, training, education, and/or work experience in using an automated information system to \tenter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.� 4.\tCoursework, training, education, and/or work experience in customer service such as providing prompt, \taccurate, and courteous service to customers seeking information, answering requests as quickly as \tpossible, ensuring customers are satisfied with service, and responding to complaints.�

Conditions of Hire

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The State of Delaware participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your form I-9 information to confirm you are authorized to work in the U.S.� This position is a classification organized under an exclusive bargaining representative (labor organization) that has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other applicable terms and conditions of employment, in accordance with Title 29, Chapter 59 and Title 19, Chapter 13 and 16.� This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement based on its individual terms. Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire.� The recruiting agency may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
