LOCATION:��Windham Technical High School�(Windham, CT)� SALARY: VS002 starting salary, derived from the State Vocational Federation of Teachers. ACADEMIC CALENDAR: CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar (188 days per year.) In the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System this class is accountable for educating students in academic and trade coursework.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience streamlining instructional accommodations and modifications, and progress monitor EL students through ELLevation. Experience communicating ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Experience creating individualized educational plans based on each student’s language needs (oral, literacy, comprehension). Experience working effectively and collaboratively with others in planning instruction and assessment. Preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate varied methods of lesson delivery, assessing student knowledge, and the use of educational technology. This may include involvement in student/community activities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Incumbents must possess at time of appointment a valid certificate issued by the Connecticut State Board of Education in accordance with the Certification Regulations Concerning State Educator Certificates, Permits and Authorizations, with a secondary school endorsement.
