Introduction

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is actively seeking Trades Subjects Substitute Teachers! Substitute daily rate of pay is $200.00. Great students and staff. Seventeen schools across Connecticut that currently employ substitutes. 30 technology/trade areas. Please Note:� This position will require a criminal background check. We require an Educational Employer Verification Form if you have current or previous employment in a position where you had contact with children. This form will need to be filled out by you and sent to all places of employment where you had contact with children. About Us: For over 100 years, CTECS has been the leading force in Career Technical Education (CTE) in the State of Connecticut. CTECS operates 17 diploma-granting technical high schools, one technical education center and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs. The school system provides a direct employment pipeline for high school students and adult learners. Substituting in the trades subjects: Substitute trade applicants must have a minimum of four (4) years of trade experience as evidenced on the application and must submit to required DCF and criminal background checks. In the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System this class is accountable for educating students in academic and trade coursework in the absence of a regular instructor.�
