CCCS is hiring a new Colorado Online Student Engagement Manager. We are looking for a “people person” who can create a great team and be a strong mentor to them. In this role you will provide system-level leadership for Colorado Online central recruitment and onboarding. This role leads the central recruitment team, coordinates shared processes across System Office and Colorado Community College System (CCCS) colleges, monitors funnel and onboarding performance, and serves as the primary escalation and coordination point for the central recruitment pilot. You will work collaboratively with marketing, information technology, and the Colorado Online central recruitment team to recruit students inside and outside of Colorado into programs that can be completed fully online through Colorado Online. The Manager will be responsible for establishing benchmarks, developing plans to increase enrollment, developing procedures to manage central recruitment and enrollment for Colorado Online, and developing a sustainability plan for long term success to drive and promote strategy to onboard CO Online students through leading this dynamic team of enrollment professionals.
This position is currently funded through 06/30/2028.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and continue to adapt engagement models, drip campaigns, and pre-admit communication plans.
- Monitor and analyze applicant tracking to identify pain points in the funnel and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Engage with leads, prospects, and inquiries to help convert them into applicants.
- Coordinate with the System Financial Aid and college Financial Aid partners to document central recruitment touchpoints, clarify referral pathways, identify recurring process barriers, and support consistent student-facing communication regarding financial aid next steps.
- Establish, monitor, and report on central recruitment funnel benchmarks, including inquiry response, application conversion, onboarding progress, first-term enrollment, handoff completion, and other success indicators identified through the project governance process.
- Use student, staff, and college feedback to identify process gaps and recommend improvements to central recruitment, matching, onboarding, communication, and handoff practices.
- Coordinate central onboarding processes from inquiry through the agreed handoff point, including referrals and communication related to admissions, residency, orientation, advising, financial aid, placement, registration, technology access, and accommodations.
- This position will supervise five employees on the Colorado Online recruitment team.
- Bachelor’s degree. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree.
- Three years of leadership experience in student recruitment and onboarding.
- Experience with an integrated student information system.
- Experience using a college recruitment CRM system.
Competencies/KSAs
- Knowledge of FERPA, federal, and higher education policies related to admissions, student records, residency, financial aid referral, registration, and student privacy.
- Ability to lead cross-functional enrollment or student success initiatives in a complex, multi-institution environment.
- Experience using student information systems, CRM tools, student success platforms, and data reports to monitor recruitment, onboarding, and student engagement.
- Ability to interpret process and performance data, identify barriers, and recommend improvements.
- Ability to communicate clearly with prospective students, newly admitted students, college partners, and System Office stakeholders.
- Ability to manage confidential student information with discretion and accuracy.
- Understanding of online learner needs, fully online program structures, and student expectations for online education.

Work Location/Travel Expectations:
- CCCS offices at 9101 E Lowry Blvd., Denver, CO 80230.
- Occasional in-state travel to CCCS colleges is required.
- Alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and hybrid-remote work may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.
