Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Administers program principles to provide maximum opportunity for student growth and improvement, observes student behavior and performance to ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established rules and regulations, ensures compliance through instruction to staff members and by direct intervention as needed, assists students with personal growth and development, and provides counseling in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Special Work Conditions:

• This position will be working with at-risk youth; employees may be subject to verbal abuse from students.
• Must be able to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather events in order to provide coverage for a 24-hour facility.
• Must possess and must maintain a valid Arkansas Driver's License and meet the eligibility requirements covered by the state insurance policy.

Job Summary

The Social Services Coordinator manages and coordinates social service programs, ensuring that clients receive necessary resources and support. This role involves case management oversight, policy implementation, and interagency coordination to enhance service accessibility for Arkansas residents.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee case assignments and workload distribution among social services staff. Ensure programs comply with state and federal guidelines. Develop partnerships with community resources and service providers. Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Provide training and support to frontline social workers.

Knowledge And Skills

Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to manage and coordinate multiple cases and projects Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities Case management and service coordination Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques Knowledge of Arkansas social service laws, policies, and regulations Intermediate in data management, reporting, and documentation Familiarity with trauma-informed care and cultural competency Understanding of behavioral health and protective services

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of three years of social work experience. Required to have a background check and child/adult maltreatment registry check.
