What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alcohol and Drug Counselor position at State Line Treatment Services?

State Line Treatment Services is an ODHMAS certified Intensive/Outpatient treatment program for clients seeking AOD treatment. Our commitment to helping those struggling with addiction includes a comprehensive array of services.

Our program is an Intensive/Outpatient treatment program that provides a combination of groups, individuals, family sessions (when applicable) and medication therapy. Our programs serves clients in the surrounding counties of southwestern Ohio. This position is responsible for providing direct care services to clients.

Job Overview

To provide services to clients seeking AOD treatment at State Line Treatment Services. Provides services in accordance with Agency philosophies, standards and practices

Maintain and carry caseload of approximately 40

Facilitate groups daily

Complete weekly individual sessions with clients

Document all services provided-Methasoft

Additional Information

Schedule is Monday thru Friday

Requirements

Minimum CDCA credentials

Knowledge of addiction philosophy’s and treatment; Knowledge of best practices and ethics

Skills: Oral and written communication skills; Computer literacy skills; Excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks; Ability to lead effective group sessions; Ability to work effectively as a part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Required experience:

  • AOD Experience: 1 year

Required license or certification: CDCA Minimum

  • LCDCII or III Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per year
