Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for all students.
- Assess and monitor children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth through interactive activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum and classroom experiences.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that promotes learning and exploration.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Birth to Kindergarten or Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Ability to use the computer, Word, Create Newletters, write short parent communication letters, create flyers, and adjust positively.
- Valid teaching license or certification for Pre-Kindergarten education preferred
- Willing to go back to school if needed. Complete ongoing training.
- Three or more years of experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the children and the classroom environment.
- Background check clearance and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
