The Opportunity
As an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Apprentice, you will work alongside licensed sprinkler technicians to install, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. This is a hands-on field role with real opportunities for training, advancement, and long-term growth within State Fire.
You will apply your existing experience while continuing to develop technical skills through field training and industry education.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Previous fire sprinkler experience with install/contract work preferred
- Willingness to continue learning and advancing in the fire sprinkler trade
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment urinalysis and random testing as required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, on-call rotations, and occasional overnight travel
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, stoop, and work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
- Ability to work in confined or difficult-access spaces
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and place materials up to 70 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems
- Read, review, and follow plans, drawings, and job specifications
- Load, unload, lift, and transport pipe and sprinkler materials
- Use trade-specific tools such as hand tools, saws, and pipe cutters
- Follow MSHA and OSHA safety requirements at all times
- Participate in required training
- Work 10-, or 12-hour shifts when necessary, and on-call rotation as needed
Salary : $50,000
