We are currently seeking a Fire Extinguisher Shop Technician to join our growing team in Pocatello, ID.This is an entry-level role with training provided for the right, committed candidate. If you’re a reliable self-starter, eager to learn, and ready to build a long-term career in fire protection and life safety, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Inspect and test fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems
• Perform annual inspections on extinguishers
• Conduct semi-annual inspections on suppression systems
• Diagnose and repair suppression systems as needed
• Document findings and report any safety concerns or deficiencies
  
  

We have a standard Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm schedule, but must be willing to occasionally come in early or stay late when workload requires it.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• A strong work ethic and commitment to learning and growth
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Basic comfort with mobile apps and iPads for digital reporting
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Comfort using hand tools and battery-powered tools
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  
  

Bonus If You Have

• Prior experience in fire protection, construction, or maintenance (not required!)
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods
• Capable of climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
• Can lift and move up to 70 lbs
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
• Can operate a vehicle safely and navigate tight spaces
