Our Experience Design area within Enterprise Technology – Digital Experience Department is seeking a mobile app Product Designer. This area is comprised of multiple teams that are passionate about enhancing experiences for State Farm customers. Our work matters – we deliver user centered design solutions expressed through our State Farm brand that directly align with and positively impact our Enterprise goals.
As part of our team, you will work in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment. We're at our best when we embrace diversity and model a co-creation approach to our work. To effectively deliver, we partner with a broad range of business partners, including developers, product owners, Marketing, business departments, and executive leadership, to name a few. We help our partners achieve their goals by proactively bringing design solutions to the table.

As a Product Designer on our team, you will be primarily focused on enhancing the customer experience for our State Farm mobile app. Key job responsibilities will include:
- Collaborates with product, business teams, and architecture to uncover and understand customer pain points and define opportunities through usability and empathy studies, supporting early product definition and improving the overall experience
- Creates process and user flows, conceptual diagrams, journey maps, wireframes, and low to high fidelity prototypes to effectively communicate high level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors
- Leverages established digital experience design and architecture standards, style guides and pattern libraries to create consistent user experiences
- Advocates for prioritization of design-centered product enhancements grounded in research, analysis, design thinking and service design methodologies
- Partners with technology colleagues in creating high fidelity design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market
Competitive/ideal candidates must have the following skills/experience:
- 1-3 years of prior experience and demonstrated success in graphic design, app design, web design, and user-centered design
- Experience working within a brand and established design system
- Must be proficient in Figma and AI-informed Design
- Experience creating motion design (beneficial)
- Proactive, self-starter approach to work
- Highly effective written and verbal communicator
- Skilled and experienced in collaborative work approach
- Knowledge of and experience using data and analytics to solve experience problems
- User research experience

- Potential starting salary range: $80,600 - $177,000
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
