Responsibilities

Our Enterprise Technology Department is seeking a Technology Analyst to work on the Personal Lines Modernization (PL MOD)-Service Enablement and Technical Support team within the PolicyCenter production support group. This is an AWESOME opportunity to work across P&C Auto/Fire - Personal Lines Auto (PL-Auto) teams and supplier areas. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to directly contribute to one of the highest-priority efforts within State Farm - the modernization of our Personal Lines Auto Policy Administration System. Candidates will have a direct impact on the experience that Agents and Customers have while utilizing this new system.

The PL-Auto application and production support responsibilities are spread across 50 product teams within numerous Product Suites. The breadth of the application includes teams that build/support custom user interfaces, the PolicyCenter vendor application, integrators, suppliers, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

We Are Seeking Candidates With:

• 5 years of software engineering experience and SDLC best practices, or equivalent
• 2 years of object-oriented Java development experience
• 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Guidewire PolicyCenter knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies
• Proficient in business analysis
• Operational excellence in triaging complex production problems and incident management
• Strong aptitude and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and frameworks
• Enthusiasm for innovation and new ideas
• Ability to engage large groups, collaborate, and build relationships locally and across departments

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Flexible and able to perform production support activities outside of standard business hours (as needed)
• Experience working with PolicyCenter in relation to Personal Lines Modernization
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, applies analytical thinking, and exercises sound judgment
• Self-starter who takes initiative and seeks ways to contribute beyond assigned responsibilities
• Adaptability and learning agility to shift between tasks or responsibilities due to changing business needs
• Works well within a team environment

• Potential starting salary range: $97,000 - $135,000
• Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
• High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
