Role Description The Insurance Coach will work full time on-site in St Charles, MO, supporting a State Farm agent by guiding customers through insurance and financial product options that fit their needs and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with prospects and existing customers, explaining coverage options in clear terms, providing personalized recommendations, and assisting with policy quotes, applications, and changes. The role also involves proactive outreach by phone, email, and in person to build and maintain a strong customer base, as well as following up on leads and renewal opportunities. The Insurance Coach will collaborate with the agent and team to achieve sales and service objectives, ensure accurate documentation, and provide a professional, positive experience at every customer interaction. Ongoing learning about State Farm products, tools, and compliance requirements is expected to deliver high-quality, informed guidance.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, client advising, or sales, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Ability to explain insurance and financial concepts in an accessible way, and guide customers through decisions and problem-solving.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, online quoting tools, and common office software.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet performance targets.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail in handling customer information and policy documents.
- Ability to work on-site in St Charles, MO, in a collaborative team environment.
- Prior insurance or financial services experience and applicable state insurance licenses (or willingness to obtain) are required.
