Role Description The Account Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Monroe, CT, working directly within a State Farm Agent’s office. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships by assisting with policy inquiries, coverage options, and account updates. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to customer requests, processing policy changes, preparing quotes, and supporting claims-related questions. The Account Manager will also engage in outbound and inbound communications to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate insurance and financial products, and support customer retention initiatives. Collaboration with the agent and team to meet office goals and provide an excellent customer experience is a core component of this role.
Qualifications
- Customer service and relationship management skills, including the ability to listen actively, problem-solve, and provide clear, professional support.
- Sales and consultative skills, with comfort in discussing insurance and financial products and following up with prospects and existing customers.
- Organizational and administrative skills, such as managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and using office technology efficiently.
- Communication skills, including strong written and verbal abilities and the capacity to explain complex information in a straightforward manner.
- Basic proficiency with computers and common office software; experience with CRM or agency management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Monroe, CT, in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing customer and business needs.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or customer-facing roles is preferred; applicable state insurance licenses (or willingness to obtain) are highly valued.
