We’re looking for a Vendor Pricing Specialist to join the State Electric team - a detail-driven professional who ensures our product costs stay precise across every location we serve.
At State Electric Supply Co., accurate vendor pricing is mission critical. Every quote, every order, every shipment depends on having the right cost in our system. As our Vendor Pricing Specialist, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our pricing data, supporting internal teams, and keeping our operations running smoothly from day to day.

From formatting complex vendor price sheets to resolving daily invoice discrepancies, your work ensures our costs are correct from the start. You’ll collaborate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, warehouses, and vendors to keep information flowing — and help the company stay competitive and efficient across multiple states.

At State Electric Supply Co., accurate vendor pricing is mission critical. Every quote, every order, every shipment depends on having the right cost in our system. As our Vendor Pricing Specialist, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our pricing data, supporting internal teams, and keeping our operations running smoothly from day to day.
Your Mission: Verify, Update, and Maintain.
From formatting complex vendor price sheets to resolving daily invoice discrepancies, your work ensures our costs are correct from the start. You’ll collaborate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, warehouses, and vendors to keep information flowing — and help the company stay competitive and efficient across multiple states.
Here’s What Success Looks Like
- Format, analyze, and upload vendor price sheets into the company’s pricing database, ensuring timely and accurate cost updates.
- Review the daily invoice cost report to identify discrepancies of $10 or more and determine whether to adjust costs or initiate vendor debit requests.
- Communicate debit information to Accounts Payable and document actions on the Monday.com A/P Debits board.
- Monitor daily emails for pricing changes, warehouse issues, and vendor updates; request new pricing files when appropriate.
- Track upcoming vendor price adjustments and maintain the Monday.com Price Increase board for organizational visibility.
- Complete the monthly UPC match for marketing AED awards by verifying and submitting accurate UPC data.
- Manage inconsistent vendor file formats and units of measure using strong Excel skills to prepare files for database upload.
- 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and pricing software (e.g., Phocas, Pricing AI).
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with vendor pricing, cost control, purchasing, accounting support, or inventory systems.
- Familiarity with Monday.com or other workflow/task management platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Position location is at State Electric’s Corporate HQ in Huntington, WV
- Schedule: M-F, 8AM to 5PM
- Office-based role with daily computer work and extensive use of Excel and internal systems.
- Requires sustained focus, organization, and comfort with repetitive data workflows.
- Routine collaboration with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and warehouse teams.
