This is a teleworking position, however daily travel for in person visits to policyholders within the territory is required; mileage is reimbursed. The servicing territory is primarily California’s far Northern Coastal counties, including Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with:
- Employers with small to medium-size workforces, dealing with risks of mid-level complexity.
- Employers operating across multiple locations, providing a dynamic and varied work environment.
- Employers experiencing significant losses related to easily identifiable hazards and industrial operations with mid-range sophistication.
- Employers in need of unique and consultative safety services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four years of experience performing casualty underwriting, field sales, industrial accident prevention, vocational rehabilitation, or claims field investigation OR
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications:
We are seeking exceptional individuals with the following qualifications and skills:
- Possess the ability to assess workplace injury and illness risk based on business operations to enhance workplace safety.
- Adept at interpreting workers’ compensation and occupational safety and health regulations.
- Proficiency in interpreting charts, graphs, and mechanical relationships.
- Effective public speaking and training skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication: Effectively convey information, write comprehensive reports using various report writing software.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designations a plus but not required for this position.
This position is being filled at the Senior Workers Compensation Insurance Representative classification or Workers Compensation Insurance Representative, but we will also be considering hiring highly qualified candidates at the Associate Safety Engineer classification.
