Part-Time Summer Camp Staff
YMCA of Centre County – State College Branch
The YMCA of Centre County's State College Branch is seeking dependable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Summer Camp team. This part-time role is ideal for those who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact in a fun, active environment. Staff will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive experience for campers throughout the summer.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday (part-time summer hours)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children and ensure a safe camp environment
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games and activities
- Assist with daily camp programming and group transitions
- Participate in outdoor activities and swim time
- Communicate with parents and fellow staff as needed
- Use positive behavior guidance techniques
- Complete attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation
- Follow all YMCA policies and PA child care regulations
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- High school diploma and two years of experience working with children
- High school diploma and 15 college credits in education or human services plus one year of experience
- High school diploma and 30 college credits in education or human services
- High school diploma and 600 hours of related secondary training
Pay & Benefits:
- $14.00–$15.50 per hour, based on experience
