We are seeking a reliable and caring Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide evening and overnight support for our adult daughter with moderate autism. The DSP will ensure a safe, supportive, and structured environment throughout the evening and night.
Position Details:
- Part-time position
- Overnight Shifts: Flexible, 2X weekly, 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 A.M.
- Private household employer
Compensation:
- $19-25/hour
- Mileage Reimbursement
Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring, modeling, and personalized support in daily living activities
- Provide transportation for community outings as needed
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized environment
- Offer mentoring and encouragement with independent living skills
- Support behavioral strategies and provide consistency with routines
- Attend monthly meetings with the team and behavioral team specialist
- Communicate and document information/data accurately and collaboratively
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid Driver’s License, insured/registered/inspected vehicle
- Ability to pass background checks
- Experience with individuals with disabilities or autism is preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Background in human services/social work is a plus (Not required)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
