```Overview```
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and other heavy equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a safe and efficient manner within a warehouse or distribution center environment. Also we do our own warehouse maintenance, so any maintenance skills are a plus. Must be able to work unsupervised after training. Unloading/loading lumber trucks is a plus.
```Responsibilities```
- Safely operate forklifts and other heavy equipment such as Hi-Lo, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, etc.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management immediately
-Maintain warehouses including keeping warehouses clean, fixing leaks and warehouse repairs.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment is a plus
- Experience with order picking and maintenance is preferred
-Able to work unsupervised after training.
